The House
'Le Ploudray' has been the Poole Family's second home for the past 25 year. We absolutely love it and have had many, many happy holidays there. It is rural, quiet, and the perfect place for an escape in our opinion. Plus there is the added benefit of being able to buy some of the best seafood in France at the local market, driven in from the west coast every Saturday morning, coupled with the many vineyards we can buy some amazing from.
So, we pack up the car, put the dog in the back and off we go to the house probably twice a year. Its a great place for dogs, they love it there. BUT - there are no fences and plenty of deer, so ticks have been a problem for long haired dogs in the past.
We have some exciting plans for the coming years, including the installation of a pool in the summer of 2018 and various other plans.
The house is rural - its in the beautiful French countryside, in an region where very few people speak English. Due to it being rural - there are spiders, ghekos, we have seen a snake in the walls when its been very hot. There can be mosquitos as well if its been wet. The weather can range from tipping with rain to 40 degrees.
The main house consists of, 2 Double rooms, 1 Twin room above the master double, kitchen, lounge and bathroom. There is also an self contained annex which has a Double and en suite.
